| 'Preserve unity and harmony' | BorneoPost Online | Borneo <b>...</b> Posted: 03 Sep 2011 12:37 PM PDT Posted on September 4, 2011, Sunday SIMUNJAN: Simunjan assemblyman Mohd Naroden Majais has called on the people in the constituency to preserve unity and harmony. He said both unity and harmony were very important to uphold a peaceful society. "As we all know, unity and harmony are two very important factors for us to progress,". He said this during his Hari Raya visits to Kampung Nanas here, where he visited a few houses, including that of Penghulu Raili Alias'. Naroden, who is Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister's Department, explained it was crucial that parents play the role of educating their children on the importance of unity and harmony. "Unity and harmony must start from a family," he said. He also touched on the importance of parents looking after their health and that of their family members. According to him, it was pointless to have good infrastructure if the people had poor health. At one of the houses, Naroden presented prizes to winners of the 'Ambang Aidil Fitri' Karaoke singing competition organised by the village. |
