Keperluan Asas Guru Di Pedalaman Sarawak Diabaikan

Teacher Basic needs in rural Sarawak ignored
Teachers or trainers are a valuable asset that precious for guiding students to become useful in the future.
Problems or the fate of teachers who teach in rural Sarawak should be given due attention by the parties concerned, so they are not left behind without any protection.
We find that there are still many rural schools in Sarawak is still no basic facilities like clean water, electricity and good roads for the convenience of the teachers deal with the administration or buy essentials in the city.
Although they are paid an additional salary, but the basic facilities much needed by those who live far inland. The teacher had to pay more, because the cost of transport to the city is too high compared with those who teaching in the city.
"They do not expect luxury concrete house, do not expect sparkling neon lights or filtered water for up to seven filtering, but they need attention for survival, so that educated human being taught with more quality could be born for the nation and religion." That is grievances of teachers who teaching in remote areas.
We also found that among the schools in rural that have not achieved full basic facilities such as the Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Manok, SK Sungai Kelabit and SK Sungai Laong where the teachers had to live in poor conditions, where all the basic facilities that had previously promised still not fulfilled by the parties concerned.
We urge the ministry of education and relevant parties to help resolve and immediately take appropriate action on the problems faced by teachers who live in these remote areas.
Do not let the life of the educators and the rural population marginalized from mainstream development. As a government, this should be given due attention and priority, because they are part of the Malaysian citizens in dire need of infrastructure and development. Be fair to all regardless of race, religion and political belief.
